  • Swine Flu

I'm not really concerned about swine flu.  Here's my concern.

3 years ago, Chinese calender year of the cow .....Mad Cow disease.

2 years ago, Chinese calender year of the bird .....Avian flu.

This year, Chinese calender year of the pig .... swine flu.

Next year is the year of the cock ..........Anybody else worried?

  • Ft Hood

In light of the tragic event at Ft Hood yesterday I have to speak my mind. It is not the political correct thing to say and I'll probably catch some heat. So here goes.......I don't trust ANY Muslim. Call me racist, call me bias. I am what I am. This country and for that matter, the entire world is under assault by Muslims.....period. Go ahead, stick your head in the sand if you want but just look at the facts. Of all the conflicts going on around the world, over 90% involve Muslims. Yes, the peaceful religion of Islam.....give me a friggin break.

  • How come?

How is it that Congress can repeatedly lie to the citizens of this country with no recourse other than the ballot box but if a citizen lies to Congress, they can go to jail?

How come member's of Congress gets full retirements benefits after 4 years of "service" yet a person in the military must serve 20 years before being eligible?

How come member's of Congress and other federal employees don't have to participate in Social Security and Medicare if it's such a good deal?

How come NPR ( National Public Radio ) & PBS ( Public Broadcasting System ) even exist with support of tax payers dollar's? Is there a shortage of radio station's?

How come the NEA ( National Endowment of the Arts ) is paid for by tax payer dollar's? Can't the so called "artist's" make it on their own?

How come Congress only work's 3 maybe 4 days a week? Nothing to do? Actually, I wish they only worked 1 day a week, less damage to our country that way.

  • Egg Business

     – appropriate timing in light of the recent events.

    John's Egg Business

John was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young
layers (hens), called 'pullets,' and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.
He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and
    was replaced.

This took a lot of time,  so he bought some tiny bells and attached them
to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a
distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and
fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

John's favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this
morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all!  When he went to
investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets,
bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, could run
    for cover.
To John's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't
ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

John was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the Renfrew County Fair
and he became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the No Bell Piece Prize but they also
awarded him the Pulletsurprise as well.
Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making.  Who else but a
politician could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted
awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and
screwing them when they weren't paying attention?

Vote carefully next year, the bells are not always audible.
